Disney on Ice

We went to see Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes last week. Sydney loved every minute of it! She was dancing and waving and clapping and jumping... Her favorite part of the whole show was having Tinkerbell come out between each performance. Sydney REALLY likes Tinkerbell.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Every morning, our curly-haired kids wake up with a serious 'fro. Today was no exception! Although, I think Sam wins the 'fro contest today...

Sam loves baths

To say that Sam loves baths would be an understatement. If I mention the word "bath," Sam runs to the bathroom, tears back the shower curtain and yells, "baaa, baaa!" while jumping up and down. He holds his hands under the water while the tub is filling up, with this huge grin on his face. Today, the bath tub was still filling with water when Sam decided that he just couldn't wait anymore. He climbed in head first, flopping onto his belly like a fish. He then jumped up and clapped his hands, yelling "yeah!" The only problem, as you can see, is that he still had his pajamas on!

Sydney and Sam play together all day. They have lots and lots of fun, especially when they wrestle!

Grandma and Grandpa got Sydney and Sam an easel for Christmas. Sydney spends hours drawing with chalk. Sam spends hours running away with the chalk, laughing all the way. He also likes to take little nibbles off of it, giving him multi-colored drool.

Syd and Sam look forward to seeing their friends every Wednesday night, when we have study group. "Dora Saves the Mermaids" was a big hit with the kids.

Sydney helped Daddy wash the truck. She insisted on rain boots and a rain coat so that she wouldn't get all wet.

Happy New Year!

Sydney and Sam had their first New Year's Eve party. They invited lots of friends and had tons of fun! There were games and crafts; food and treats; balloons, party hats and noisemakers; a Curious George pinata; and one BIG mess! We celebrated the New Year at Midnight EST/9pm PST.

Fun in the Snow!

We went to La Porte the day after Christmas to play in the snow. Sam had never been to the snow and he really liked it. He wanted to walk all over the place! Sydney was worried about falling into a hole. We got the kids all bundled up and put them in the back of the truck while we got everything ready. It was 26 degrees that day.

Daddy pulled Syd and Sam around on a sled. They loved it!
After playing for a while, we took a break for lunch. We had a picnic in the back of Daddy's truck.

Christmas Day

Sam got a new Bounce and Spin Zebra and had lots of fun on it Christmas morning.

We spent Christmas Day at Mimi and Grandpa Larry's house. Sydney and Maycie played ring around the rosies until they were dizzy! Sydney and Sam love to play with their cousins Roah and Maycie.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandma Billie and Grandpa Frank's house. Sydney had lots of fun opening gifts. Sam just wanted the bows. After all the presents were unwrapped, I found Sydney wandering around the house. I asked her what she was doing. Her reply: "My looking for Jesus 'cuz this is his birthday party."

Christmas Cookies with Grandma

Grandma came over on Saturday and we baked cookies ALL day! Sydney really enjoyed helping...she unwrapped lots of Hershey's Kisses (and only ate one!).

After dinner, Sydney got to pick out a cookie. She chose a snowman, first picking out his eyes and then licking all the frosting off. She never actually ate the cookie...
